Kindergarten Happenings!

Here are some more amazing 100th day projects!!  I was very impressed with everyone's hard work!  As you can see they were also proud of their word as well.  Everyone did a great job sharing their project and telling us how they counted 100 objects.  There are a lot of pictures in this weeks post.  I hope you enjoy them!
Harmony's Pac Man donut with 100 sprinkles
Jackson's hot air balloon
Cooper's cool smiley face ball made out of 100 elastics
Nikolai's poster with 100 clips!
Loved the saying! I'm sure many of you feel this way!
Alexis' necklace made with 100 beads & buttons.
Sophina's 100 googly eyes
Anthony's poster with 100 stickers
Hadley's poster with 100 fingerprint hearts
Agatha's number 100 made out of 100 mini cupcake holders
This week we made oobleck!  The children really enjoyed playing with it!
We talked about how it is like both a solid and liquid.

Some really loved the gooey feeling and others were not a fan.

Some preferred using a spoon to play with it.

We made crowns for March and talked about the saying, "March comes in like a lion & goes out like a lamb." We certainly have had many lion days to begin March.

Cohort A made their 100th day necklaces.

We strengthened our finger muscles using rice and tongs. The students had to work to fish out erasers and beads that were hidden in the rice. We also practiced some math skills of sorting, counting, adding and subtracting.

We worked on sorting digraphs - sh, th, ch, wh

We worked on counting and comparing amounts.

We also worked on finding rhyming pairs.
More oobleck!!

As you can see, this group enjoyed oobleck too!

YOGA time in library!  So much fun!

We had a great week.  I was very impressed with the flag writing that cohort B sent in!  They did a terrific job.  The flags and writing are hanging in the hallway for everyone to enjoy.  We will add more to the display as we complete activities.  Hope to have a wonderful week learning about Presidents and continuing to learn about National Symbols.
