Kindergarten Happenings!

I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation. It is hard to believe that we
only have about 2 months left of school.  The time has really flown by.
We came back from vacation and went right to work.
The children are excited to be working on the book we will be publishing.
Please be sure to sign and return the book form next week whether you are buying a
book or not.  In order to publish work we need a signature from everyone.
 Thank you for your help!

This week we discussed helping out at home.  All the children did share that they do some type of chore to help out.  If not, this might be the weekend to ask for a little help.
Arianna is all smiles while she plays with the bristle blocks!
Working on a large puzzle together.
Happy little ladies creating at the writing center.
 Lego's, lego's, they love lego's!

Math with Mr. Flournoy ~ working with numbers to 100
 Fun with friends at recess!

Practicing handwriting ~ I was so impressed with their upper case letter printing!

 Math - #'s to 100
Playing a game with friends

 Push pin art
It is a great way to work on our pinching grasp! Best of all the children love doing it!  They even chose to do it at choice time!

Next week we will finish working on our book that we are publishing.  Please fill out the book form whether you want to purchase one or not.  Also please return the permission slip and waiver form for our field trip.  We need both of these by Monday or Tuesday.  Thank you for your help and cooperation.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Important Note

Yeah!  I am excited to see the children tomorrow morning and can't wait to hear about all their vacation adventures!  I am sure they will have a lot to share.

I wanted to let you know that MCAS testing takes place this week for the older students.  This will change our lunch and special schedule on Wednesday and Friday.  Due to this change we will not have a morning snack on Wednesday and Friday.  I know some of the children are very hungry in the morning and look forward to snack so it would be helpful if they can eat an extra hearty meal on these days.  We may have a snack in the afternoon on these days if the children request one.  We will be eating lunch at 11:30 so the afternoon is going to be longer than they are used to.

Thank you for your help and understanding.  Please let me know if you have any questions!
