First Day!

WOW! We had an amazing first day!  We started our day touring the school and meeting some VIP people. We also drew a self portrait, practiced a fire drill, read a story, played at choice and played some name games.  The children are adjusting to the new routines and did a fabulous job at lunch!  Below will be a few candids of choice time this afternoon.

Bus Ride!

What a great day!  The children did a fantastic job on our bus ride!  We can't wait to start our year on Monday. It was nice meeting many of you these past three days and we look forward to the year ahead!

Wow!  We have had two great days meeting all our new students!  We enjoyed seeing everyone over these past two days and have had a chance to work individually with each child!  We are excited for the bus tour and mini orientation tomorrow at 9:30.  We are looking forward to seeing all the children on Monday for their first day of school!  

Here are a few things you may want to know.
        *  If you would like your child to drink milk during snack time 
            you can send a check written to "Berlin Memorial School" 
            for $87.50.  This would cover the cost of milk for snack time
            for the year.  We are unable to pay daily for snack milk.  

        *  Lunch is $3.00.  This includes a meal and drink (milk). 

        *  Milk for lunch is $0.50 a day.  

        *  Please talk to your child each day about their lunch and snack.
            Your child will have to let us know in the morning if he/she 
            brought lunch or is buying lunch.  It is helpful if you talk with 
            him/her before school so he/she knows what to select
            independently.  We will certainly help your child if he/she is 
            not sure.

We are looking forward to a year full of learning, meeting new friends and having fun while we discover new concepts together and independently!
