Kindergarten Happenings!

Wow! What an amazing week!  We had so many exciting things happen this week.  We started our week off with the Kindergarten Musical ~ The Little Red Hen!
I am so glad that so many of you made it out to see it! The kids were outstanding!  We were complimented for the entire day!  I am so proud of the kids!  They did a phenomenal job!!!

Making bookmarks in the Maker Space

Today we finished up a few activities.  We planted the pumpkin seedlings we started in the classroom. First the students weeded the garden beds and then we transplanted the seedlings into the garden.  The children watered the plants as well.  Hopefully they will take and continue to grow so we can observe the changes!

We spent a little time drawing and relaxing in the shade after planting.
Saying goodbye is hard.  Today we let the bullfrog tadpoles go.  The kids were a bit sad to see them leave our room but I think it was time to let them swim in the big pond again.  We were lucky to have seen a few changes while they were with us.  The tadpoles grew a little bigger and most of them had their back legs.  One frog also grew its front legs which was super exciting to see!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Star Student!  Catie was the Star Student this week!  She was very excited to share some special items with the class.  A book, quilt, small stuffed animals, spinner and more!  Nice job sharing and answering questions!  Hope you enjoyed your week!
These two wanted a picture together! Good friends are the best! Always a smile on their faces!

I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!
Relax and enjoy some time with your family and friends!

Davis Farmland!

We had an amazing day at the farm! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!  We
started with a guided tour and hayride.  The children had the opportunity to feed the
animals, touch, brush and hold a few.  Here are some pictures to enjoy!
I took a lot and hopefully caught everyone at some point.
Meeting the farmers and listening to the farm rules.

They were so very excited!
Off on a hayride!

Feeding a cow with a very large tongue!

A goat or a sheep??  We found out that a goat holds it tail up and a
sheep holds it tail down.  That is the easiest way to tell the two apart.

Touching Shelby the African Spur Tortoise

Waiting to see the snake! It was amazing how many of them were brave enough to
touch and even hold it!  Braver than me, as I am not a fan of snakes!

Some playground time!

Lunch time!

After lunch we split into smaller groups to explore a little more of the farm!
My group couldn't wait to hold the kittens!

We also held baby goats!

BMS here we come!  Headed back to school!

We had some very happy yet exhausted little kindergarteners!  What an amazing day!  Thank you to the parents who came to  help out, everyone for paying for their child's ticket and LINK for paying for the bus!
