Final Kindergarten Happenings!

We have officially started our summer vacation!  I am sure everyone has been busy working and playing the last three days.  Here are a few pictures of our last two days! We remained busy learning and enjoying our time together!
 Building Shade Structures!
This was challenging but the students came out with some creative ideas!

 Writing about our shade structures!

They love playing with pattern blocks!
WE read a Science Spin about bubbles so we took a trip outside to play with some!

We also took a trip to the garden to check out the pumpkins.
Luckily we had a few willing helpers to weed with us!
 Our last Mystery Reader!
Thank Mr. Felo for taking the time to visit on our last day and read a story to us!
We hope you had as much fun as we did!
Last kindergarten snack!

WE had a tremendous year and I am so proud of you all!  Thank you for sharing your child with me!  I hope everyone has an amazing summer!

Kindergarten Happenings!

Wow, it is hard to believe this was our last full week of school!  This class is truly amazing and I loved teaching and learning with them each and everyday! We received many compliments throughout the year because of their positive behavior, attitudes, and hard work!! I am so proud of them and will truly miss them!  Here are some photos from our last full week of school!
Measuring objects and comparing lengths.
What is longer? What is shorter?

Happy Birthday to Josie!  She celebrated her 6th birthday on Sunday!
We hope you had a wonderful day!!

Happy early birthday to Will & Arianna!  They will celebrate their birthdays in August!
Will will be turning 6 & Arianna will be celebrating her 7th birthday!
Hope you both have a wonderful day when it comes around!

Kacie also celebrated her birthday this past week!  Kacie turned 6 this past Tuesday!
We hope you enjoyed your special day Kacie!!
 All School Music Fest
The kindergarten performed two songs for the school on Tuesday!
They did a terrific job moving and singing for everyone!

 Math with Mr. Flournoy
Measuring distance with paper airplanes. We did some trial and error runs and then changed our models to improve them.

I shared the end of the year video with the children. They loved it!!  It made a few of us sad. We talked about how it is a happy, sad event!  I am so proud of all their hard work and they are ready to conquer first grade!!
They even asked to watch it a second time.
I also want to thank Mrs. Muldoon for sending in CD's that are big enough to
hold the video so each of you will be receiving a copy as well.  Thanks Maria!!
The children loved looking at their "All About Me" binders!!
I hope you enjoy them as much as they did!

Getting ready for the FUN RUN!!
Before picture...
After...they were exhausted!!

Great work Kacie turning in so many sneakers to earn a special prize!
Keep moving over the summer everyone!  It is good for our mind, body & soul!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I can't believe there is only 1.5 days of school left!  The year really flew by!  Thank you again for sharing your beautiful children with me!
