Kindergarten Happenings!

Here are some pictures highlighting some of our learning this week.
Working on 1-1 correspondence, counting and recording numbers correctly.
Comparing objects, matching them up and circling the ones that are greater.
We also worked on the higher level question of "How many more?"
Writing numbers and then figuring out the three numbers that come after the first number.
Some challenged themselves by choosing higher numbers beyond 20.

 Using dice to compare amounts.
Look at our kindness quilt!  It came out great.
We have been thinking and talking about doing kind things for others.
 Handwriting without Tears
Moving on to center starters! We moved onto the capital letters
that start in the center.  This week we learned to
write C, O, Q & G using correct formation.

Pushpin art to strengthen finger muscles!
Strengthening fingers with objects hiding in putty.
Matching numbers and dots as we play a memory game

 Sequencing monster numbers 0-20

Nearby Numbers - picking out a number and finding the correct spot on the grid.

 Playing the card game compare!

It's always fun learning and playing games!

This week we also talked about expected and unexpected behaviors and are trying to reward, compliment and acknowledge the expected behaviors.  We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Our first "Mystery Reader" came last Monday!
Thank you Mrs. Muldoon for coming in and reading to us!
We loved the story and enjoyed your visit!
We are so glad that you took the time off to read us a story!
We have one more "Mystery Reader" interested in coming in.
I hope there are some more out there to join in on the fun!  Let me know if you are interested.
