Thursday Happenings!

We celebrated another birthday today!  Sophia turned 6!  We hope she had a fabulous day!
Mr. Campbell was helping to serve lunch today!  Complete with a big smile!
Today we joined Mrs. Bennett's class and learned about the Pilgrims and Native Americans.  We learned that the Wampanoag's lived right here in Massachusetts.  We talked about ways they traveled, communicated, survived and much more.  We also watched a short video titled Wampanoag Way by Let's Find Out.  After our discussion we engaged in 3 fun activities.  We made "Mishoon's" or canoes, clay pots and thankful turkeys.  We were so busy, I didn't get too many pictures but here are a couple. The children had a great time.
We weren't able to fit in everything that we wanted so on Friday I will finish up with a Native American story using symbols, we will create a rain dance, learn some Native American sign language and read a story.

What a great week!  Next week is super short.  If we get enough t-shirts we hope to make them Monday and wear them on Tuesday for the Turkey Trot!

Have a terrific weekend!
