Weekly News

Here are some of the activities from this past week

Journal writing about what plants and animals need.

Look at these CVC, CCVC & CVCC.  Great job writing!
A little GoNoodle.  It is so fun to watch them dance and move!
Mystery Reader ~ Cameron was so excited that his mom was the mystery reader!  He said he knew it when he heard the 4 clues!  The kids love figuring out and seeing who walks into the room.

Math subtraction write the room.  They did a fabulous job!

Some Spring like weather this past week!  The kids were very happy to be outside!

Reflex math~ As some of you may know I introduced Reflex to the students.  This is a way to practice math fact fluency.  Since we have learned basic addition and subtraction I thought we could introduce and try it as a way to help build fact fluency.  It may be too difficult at first or a better fit for some students than others.  The kids were beyond excited about it.
Look closely and you will see a rainbow! We had a little extra recess on Thursday and spotted a rainbow in the sky!
Happy Birthday Grant!  Saturday is Grant's birthday!  We hope he has a fabulous day celebrating with his family!  If you see him around town be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday!

5th grade students have been joining us for a bit to read with us at Star Time.  Some students are choosing to read to them while others enjoy listening to the 5th grader read.  Either way it is a great one on one time for the students and a great way to build confidence and fluency with their reading.
Math subtraction game with a friend!  We will have our subtraction check-up next Friday.
