Kindergarten Happenings!

Another great week in kindergarten!  We have been working very hard and are becoming such great readers, writers and mathematicians!  Keep up the terrific work!  I am so proud of you all!!
 Pattern block creation
Working on numbers 11-20.  Counting, writing and showing quantities!
Ava passed in a class reader coupon and did a terrific job reading her book.  We had to do a little at the end of one day and finish the next day!  Great job Ava and way to be flexible.
Push pin art on card stock gives requires a little extra finger muscles.  We need strong fingers to be good writers.
We are reviewing lower case letter formation.  We started our review with the 6 letters that are the same as the capitals c, o, s, v, w, t and then worked on magic c letters a, d, g, & q.  If we keep practicing it will become more automatic for you.

Wyatt received the Kindergarten Hard Worker of the Month award for March.  Awesome job Wyatt! I am so proud of you!!  Keep up the terrific work!!
Addison was the "Star of the Week" this week!  She did a great job sharing her family page and information about herself.  She also brought in a special book to read to the class and her new boxy girl toy!  Way to go Addison!!
What an AMAZING show!  Thank you LINK, Inc for sponsoring this show, it was terrific!  Not only was it entertaining it included educational factors as well.  He tied in different ways of communication and some information about past history.  Thank you!!
 Everett just loved the show!
Math centers this week!  The children really love using the hands on manipulatives!
 Matching quantities and numbers.
 Sorting different ways to make 5, 8 & 10.
Working in partners for this tricky one!  Showing different ways to make each number using words, dice, dominos, and hands.  Way to go Jackson & Zoey!
 HWT magic c letter practice
Matching quantities and numbers in two different activities.

One more week before vacation!  Wow, it is hard to believe.  This past week we talked about different places in our country & symbols of our country.  We will tell about something we learned in our journals on Monday.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
