Kindergarten News

We had another busy week.  Here are some of the things we did this week.  
* fire safety
* counting shapes & recording
* two class books ~ Shape Book & 14 Black Dots
* matching letters & beginning sounds
*  matching upper & lower case letters
*  rhyming
*  fall tree observation & recording
* and more...


 Sami is finding the picture that begins with the correct beginning sound.  She did awesome!!
Sophia is counting the shapes and recording with a number and coloring the correct quantity. 
 Class books ~ Mary, AJ & Grant are illustrating their page for our 14 Black Dots book inspired by Donald Crews' book 10 Black Dots


 Finding rhyming pairs.
Exploring the new shape & color science table!  
 Olivia is matching begining sounds and letters.  Amazing how much they have learned already!
 Rhyming three pictures with a key word. 
 Jimmy was really busy matching candy corn letters and then apples with letters & beginning sounds. 
 More math and counting shapes.
 Rollling a die and recording the number in different ways. 
We are very proud of all their hard work!!
 Love seeing them smile!


 Fall tree observations on a beautiful day!

 Grant was the Star Student this week!  He did a terrific job sharing this week!  Way to go Grant!! He was so excited about sharing he couldn't stop smiling.  Love that smile!
 Play-do creations & writing center ~ two of the favorite choices this week

 Helping a friend trace.  This was for our shape book.  
 Each child picked a shape and added some detail to turn it into something new.  

Fire Safety math.  Building towers to match the number on each flame.  
Practicing crawling to a door and feeling it with the back of our hands.   

We had a wonderful week.  I look forward to seeing you at conferences next week!
