Kindergarten Happenings!

Sorry this one is late!

Here are some pictures from last week.
Math working on flipping the equation and breaking numbers into different parts.

Playing a game with 8.  How many different ways can you make 8.
Graphing the the different ways that we shake to see which one comes up the most.

 Work Boards
Short vowel sounds ~ Students segmented words to find the short vowel sound.
They did a really nice job with this activity!
 Practicing writing our sight words!
Write around the room ~ Students counted, recorded and compared
the number of chocolates on each card.
 Mystery Reader!
We want to thank Catie's "Nuh - Nuh" for coming in and reading us a story.  Catie was beyond thrilled to have her come in.  The children enjoyed the Dr. Seuss book she read to us.
We also want to thank her for the special Dr. Seuss mini notebooks and pencils she gave us!
Thank you for taking the time out of your day and spending part of it with us.
The kids loved having you!

Making sight words with wikki sticks
Mrs. Dumphy a dental hygienist came in on Friday to talk to us about keeping our teeth healthy.  We hope the children enjoy their new toothbrushes and remember to brush at least 2x a day and floss.

Hope you had a nice weekend!  The call just came in on another snow day.  I thought Spring was in sight but apparently Mother Nature has other plans.  Although I would much rather be in school let's make the best of the day off and snuggle up with our munchkins!

Stay warm!
