Welcome to December! We begin the month with snow forecasted for the end of the week! Hopefully we won't get too much! The children did a great job this week. We earned marbles and filled the jar!! We will celebrate our reward soon. Hopefully this week! We want to vote with the children so they have a choice in the reward. They have been working hard drawing and illustrating in their journals, and November writing page. We also have been working on different ways to make numbers. We have also began talking about sorting & classifying. The students explored attribute blocks and discovered some ways to sort them. They will continue sorting next week and during remote learning. Here are some pictures from the week!
Work board this week: matching letter & keyword
Journal writing - What did you do over Thanksgiving?
Some students are beginning to write with support and others are trying a little on their own. It is great to see them working hard on sounding words out and adding details to their drawings.
Alphabet Arc - matching letters
Pattern block creations
Puzzle time - a great exercise for your brain
Jackson is working hard to build the 4 different puzzles.
Freckle
We logged into Freckle and practiced using the app. This is a great site to visit when you want a little extra to do. It has both Math & Literacy activities. The program will move your child along as they are ready and keep them at their level.
Kindergarten Kindness Quilt
It is finally up! It looks amazing too! The children did a great job illustrating something they can do to be kind. We will keep it on display to encourage kindness throughout the school.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCARLETT!!
We celebrated Scarlett's birthday on Thursday! We sang the birthday song, she got her birthday hat and goodie bag! We hope she had a wonderful day. Scarlett celebrated her real birthday on December 1st! Hope you had a fabulous birthday week!!
I will have to do a better job getting pictures taken. It looks like this week, I got Cohort A! I will have to focus on Cohort B next week. Sorry about that. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a wonderful snowy weekend!
