A little late but here are some photos from Cohort A! We were working on nearby numbers. This can be a tricky skill but a great way to practice number sense. It is easier to complete if you look at all the numbers and decide where to place them. We tried it with a little challenge. The children picked out a number and had to think about where it would go. As you can see they did a great job! Some students were really quick while others needed a to take some time. Either way, they worked hard and stuck with the challenge! Terrific job everyone!!
Letter Board Practice
We worked on letters/sounds with our letter boards at school. Some students were very familiar with the task and let me know they do it at home with the letter boards we sent home! Way to go!! It is wonderful practice for letter & sound knowledge. It can also be used to build words, sound out / read cvc words or practice writing sight words. Next week we will be sending home an extra set of letters to help with these activities as well.
Jackson working on his letter board at home! Perfect job!! Keep up the terrific work!!
I will share more from this week on Friday! Enjoy the week everyone!
