What a busy couple of weeks we are having. We have a lot of exciting activities planned for the last three days before vacation and I will post some pictures once they occur. Here are some pictures from last Friday and Monday! We got together with Mrs. Bennett's Class on Monday to spread some kindness. We have a few things to finish up with this but the students worked together to create some cards for staff in the building to say thank you & Happy Holidays!
A ticket to snack ~ practicing sight words.
What would you do if Santa got stuck in the chimney?
We sang a cute little song about Santa getting stuck in the chimney, came up with some ideas about what we would do then wrote our ideas down with a picture of Santa getting stuck.
Afterwards we read a story about Santa getting stuck and found out one authors idea on how to get him out using the characters in the story.
Sorting syllables
Counting around the room
Wow! CCVC words! Some of the children were challenged to figure out the 4 sounds in each picture word. I was amazed at how well they did.
Spirit Week! We looked great in our jammies on Monday!
Playing Dreidel
We spent some time playing dreidel and the children loved it. They wanted to play at choice and the next day. They enjoyed learning a new game.
Two more hard workers doing a fabulous job hearing the sounds in CVC words! Those vowels can be tricky but they both did an amazing job!
On Monday we worked with Mrs. Bennett's class to spread some kindness through the holiday season. Here are the children working together to make cards and write a special note.
Thank you LINK Inc. for the fabulous cultural program you brought to school. The students and teachers loved the performance. It taught us a few things and kept us engaged the whole time!
Thank you for all you do to support the school, teachers and students! We really appreciate it!!
Amelia had a chance to bang the drums.
Mila & William had the chance to dance!
Calvin went up to share the name of an instrument.
We had a great two days and have three more exciting ones ahead of us. I know they will busy with events, excitement and learning!
