We had a great week. Here are some pictures to share from the week.
Mila & Enzo wanted to share their pattern block design!
Harper & Aubree wanted to share the lantern they made.
Tucker & Kaylie wanted to share the pirate puzzle they completed together.
Another fabulous mystery reader experience. Mrs. Lowe came and read a cute book, Bear Says Thanks. It was a great book for this time of year. She also brought in some turkey placemats that we spent time coloring and writing what we are thankful for. I think they came out great and just might be a keeper for future centerpiece holders. A few students used a different style crayon and the wax smeared a bit, but still looked really neat. Thank you Mrs. Lowe for taking time out of your day to read to us. We loved having you & Kenzie!!
In math we spent a lot of time talking about classifying. The children worked as partners or small groups to sort a variety of objects such as attribute blocks, plastic creatures, and beans.
Work board - organizing words to create a sentence.
We talked about key parts of a sentence to look for. (capital at the beginning & punctuation)
The Star Student is Aubree! Aubree did a wonderful job sharing her all about me pages, family collage and books. She did a fantastic job reading The Foot Book to the class. Way to go Aubree! We enjoyed learning more about you!
I opened up the game shelf and the children love it! The have been enjoying playing games with one another from Zingo, Trouble, Head Bands, Perfection, Don't Break The Ice and more. This is a great way to foster sharing, taking turns, problem solving and conversations.
SO VERY THOUGHTFUL!!! ~ THANK YOU!!
A big thank you goes out to LINK Inc. and all the families who helped make this happen. On Thursday we were surprised with a table full of goodies to enjoy during the day! The display was amazing and brought many smiles and feeling of gratitude to the families. Thank you!!
Look at this amazing tree!! Another big shout out to LINK Inc., Mrs. Eckleman, the students and any behind the scene individuals. The tree looked amazing and brought a heartfelt tear to my eye. It was so nice to see some of the things students wrote about present and past teachers! Thank you!!
Here is a closer look at some leaves.
We began center starters this week and worked on capital letters C, O, Q & G.
We only have 5 more capital letters to learn. Wow!!
Working on small circles, pincer grip and copying the pattern.
The children loved this activities and it really builds stamina!
They requested more with different animals. Now I have to be on the look out for them.
Finishing out "Di-November" in library by building habitats for dinosaurs. These students wanted to share their habitats!
Awesome job!
Next week is a short week but it will be jammed pack with learning and fun!
On Monday we will be getting together with Mrs. Bennett's Class to do some Native American, Pilgrim & Thanksgiving activities.
On Tuesday we will be walking to the fire station for a tour in the morning and participating in the "Turkey Trot" with the school in the afternoon.
We hope everyone has a wonderful week and enjoy their time with family and friends!
