I can't believe we are entering the month of November! We had a very busy October and ended the month with a very exciting week! We met with Mrs. Bennett's class a few times this week to engage in some extra special activities! We celebrated Halloween with the first costume parade in years! Despite the misty weather, I think it went very well! The children had a great week and enjoyed the learning activities!
Room on the Broom ~
We read the story, completed a craft and sequenced the story with partners.
Later we enjoyed a video of the story. It was a great afternoon.
A cute little story the children really enjoyed! We made Jasper and his underwear. "Hee hee hee"
We then put glow paint on them and turned out the lights. The children were excited to see the underwear glow!
We practiced a lot of cutting this week with all our craft activities! I definitely have seen improvements in our cutting skills!
Mystery Reader!!
Thank you Ms. Mulhearn for coming in and reading a story to the class. The children were very excited to have another mystery reader! Makenna was thrilled to have you there! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
We are warriors! Doing some yoga moves!
Here's Jasper!
Testing out if it glows!!
Music leaders this week! Makenna and Noah led the beginning of
music class and sang the welcome song!
Pumpkin investigation
We estimated how much our big pumpkin would weigh, estimated candy corn, and predicted if the pumpkin would sink or float. We carved a pumpkin and got to feel the insides. Some of the children absolutely loved it while others were not a fan of touching the gooey guts.
The verdict is in....it floats!!
Happy Halloween!
We had some great costumes!
Ready for the parade!

STEM activity - 5 Little Pumpkins sitting on a gate
The object is to build a gate out of clothes pins and tongue depressors then try to sit 5 pumpkins on it.
As you can see it was a very busy and exciting week!
Next week will be a short week with 3.5 days of school.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at conferences.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
