Another great week! The children earned a marble party this week and were very excited about it!
Below you will find some pictures of some of our weekly activities.
Sami is using snowmen and buttons to solve some subtraction problems. Then some of the children showed their work on a piece of paper. I was impressed that some of them used words to describe how they solved it. Others used pictures and numbers
States of Matter sorts ~ We cut and sorted pictures into solids, liquids and gases. We learned about states of matter last week and will continue to do some experiments and discuss them in upcoming enrichment activities.
Practicing word problems using chips and markers. The children listened to stories and used the white board to show how they would solve the problems.
Another station was working as partners using dice and recording our math equations.
Sami, Sophia and Owen were proud of their building and wanted to show it off! They made a castle with a moat and wall protecting it. Nice job working together!
T-shirt Tuesday! The cafeteria looked pretty cool with red, orange and yellow shirts! Don't forget your t-shirts next Tuesday!
Jump for Heart ~ On Friday you should receive some information about "Jump Rope for Heart'. We will be participating in the awesome program on February 15th.
