A busy week....
We learned about Hanukkah. The children colored, cut and sequenced numbers written on the candles of the Menorah.
We filled stockings with short vowel sounds.
 We sorted syllables.

We practiced our handwriting.  We have learned all upper case letters now!  We will move onto lower case letters in January!
We worked to strengthen our fine motor skills.

 We played games!
We wrote about what we would do if Santa was stuck in a chimney. We read a story about Santa getting stuck in a chimney and sang a new song.
We practiced our addition.  We were given parts and had to find the sum or total.  At another center we were given the sum and had to figure out different ways to make the number.

We worked on other math concepts as well.

We played at legos & the doll house.
We made a special tree for our families!  The children worked hard on this and some even added additional details.

An addition game using dice and pattern blocks to make a picture.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!  Stay warm!!
