Here are some pictures from another busy week in kindergarten! I was out on Monday but the substitute reported that the children did an amazing job and earned 7 marbles!! That might be a record! I was proud of them for doing such a great job!
Building our fine motor skills and practicing making circles
using the small little crayons to help our pincher grip.
We've been BOOed!! The children were excited to get booed! They had a chance to pick out a special treat and a paper activity if they wanted. We then passed the bucket around to boo another class! A fun way to celebrate the season!
Unpacking our box full of "Fun"dations materials! We were super excited to meet Echo the Owl and Baby Echo. They will help us learn our letter names and sounds. It will give your children another tool to use when learning the letter & sounds.
Playing compare to help us learn about numbers 0-10. The children loved playing this game. It is like the old fashion game "war" so if you want to take out a deck of cards it is a great game to play with your child.
Osmo! We introduced Osmo as one of our Daily Five activities. The children were very excited about this and cant wait to have a turn. The activities involve tangrams, letters/sounds and number concepts.
Writing sight words in our sight word journal.
Checking out the pumpkins in the garden with Mrs. Bennett's Class before we pick them.
The tiniest pumpkin ever!
Enjoying some books!
Putty & slime at the science center.
Nice job girls!
We have learned all the "frog jump" letters.
E, F, D, P, R, B, M & N
Mailbox Rhymes
Matching pictures that rhyme. One is on a mailbox and one is on a letter.
Nice work Tucker!
Math write the room. Find the missing number & write it on the page.
We had a productive week and finished learning about our senses.
Next week we will talk about tools that help us learn.
We hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
