We had a spectacular day! The kids really enjoyed the activities planned and spending time with the older students. We had perfect weather and the children all did a great job listening, following directions and participating in the activities. We started off in the cafeteria where we learned a little bit about trees. Then we broke up into smaller groups and went outside to do an ice breaker. Afterwards we planted trees and then went into the cafeteria to enjoy a snack and some additional activities. Here are some pictures from our day!

The activities begin. On our way out to the relay, the children stopped to see what was going on.
The scarecrow relay. The children had to run over to the scarecrow, get a piece of paper, it was read by an 8th grader and then a kindergartener ran an item over to the 8th grader to wear. In the end we had many scarecrows. It was a very cute activity.

Entertaining the kids on the bus. They loved riding in the back and it was the place to visit while we waited for our replacement bus!
We had a fabulous day! I will try to print out some more photos & make a class book to circulate through the class!
